Current Status: Up
And we're back.
A weblog about the status of the site ORblogs.com.
Once again, the power goes out at SpireTech, and the ORblogs servers go down. A guy at SpireTech said it was a sub-station blow out, which doesn't sound good. It seems crazy that the power goes out so frequently.
The power was restored around 4:00 am last night. But I was asleep. I had SpireTech reboot one of the servers just now, and things are running again.
ORblogs is currently unreachable. This down time wasn't planned, and I'm not sure what's wrong right now.
I just talked with someone at SpireTech, the company that hosts the ORblogs server, and they said the power is currently out at their facility. They also said power was out for their entire surrounding area in Portland. I guess the rough weather is taking down power lines. ORblogs will be back when SpireTech's power is back.
I'm doing some work on the server tonight, and should have things back up within an hour.
The current status of ORblogs is: all systems go.
The server is up and running at SpireTech in Portland. Once the new DNS settings make their way across the internets, ORblogs will be back on the air.
