The current status of ORblogs is: all systems go.

DNS should have worked its magic by now. This site will remain active, and I'll post any outages or scheduled down-times here. Thanks for your patience through this latest round of changes, and thanks for the kind words Jack!

Almost Back

The server is up and running at SpireTech in Portland. Once the new DNS settings make their way across the internets, ORblogs will be back on the air.

Target: Tomorrow AM

I can't take the server in today, so it'll have to be tomorrow morning. On the bright side, I'm doing some much-needed maintenance on the server that I haven't been able to do remotely.

The eagle has landed. 

Server is on the move

The ORblogs server is now in Oregon, and should arrive sometime today. I have an appointment to take the server to its new home in Portland tomorrow, but I'll see if I can squeeze in today if the server shows up early.

ORblogs is offline

ORblogs is currently offline, and should be back up sometime on Wednesday. The ISP took ORblogs offline a bit sooner than I thought they would—I was expecting early evening rather than early afternoon.

Like I mentioned in the discussion forum, ORblogs won't be gathering any post excerpts or updates during this time. The application will have to play catch-up on Wednesday, with things getting back to normal around Friday. Thanks for your patience with the move. I think it'll help response time for locals to have the server physically located in Oregon. (Not to mention helping the local economy with my higher monthly bills!)
